Oahu’s North Shore is a well-known, world famous surfing spot. During the winter months, the swells can reach 20 to 30 feet or even higher!
Luckily in June, the waves and crowds are pretty reasonable. While I have done a lot of snorkeling around Oahu, I only tried spread fishing one time. We spent an afternoon in June of 2014 near K-point by Haleiwa trying out spear fishing.
While we came up empty handed, we did see a sea turtle! After all the swimming and splashing in the waves, we ended the day with a delightful BBQ and watched the sunset!
