After a weeklong trip exploring Oahu, we decided it was time to take another hike and enjoy the blue skies and never-ending views over the ocean. So, we headed off to Diamond Head Crater!
Diamond Head is an iconic volcanic landmark located on Oahu near Waikiki. It is protected as a State National Monument with a military background. Along the trail you will pass multiple concrete pillboxes and military bunkers from 1908 when the trail was originally constructed.
Once you pass through the tunnel, you will enter the center of the crater. The path is almost completely paved with rails to assist with the twists and turns along the way. The trail is just under 2 miles total leading to absolutely stunning views!
